Hommage à Kwame Nkrumah – Théoricien du Panafricanisme en Afrique

Tribute to Kwame Nkrumah – Theorist of Pan-Africanism in Africa

September 21 marks the anniversary of Kwame Nkrumah , one of the great architects of African independence and theoretician of Pan-Africanism on the continent. The first president of Ghana, he led his country to independence in 1957, becoming a major figure in African liberation. A visionary convinced that African unity was essential to resist neocolonialism, Nkrumah founded the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963, thus establishing a framework for cooperation between African nations.

Today, his dream of a united and sovereign Africa finds a particular echo, especially with the creation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) Just one year ago. The AES is fully in line with Nkrumah's struggle, strengthening regional cooperation and proposing a robust pan-African response to attempts at external interference. While the continent remains coveted for its immeasurable natural resources, the AES stands as a bulwark against the exploitation of its rich and strategic subsoil, thus embodying the desire to preserve African sovereignty, both economic and political.

The creation in homage to Nkrumah, one of the first works of United Souls, is signed Joy Hanoun . It showcases the artist's unique style, distinguished by her ability to reveal colors where no one else could perceive them. Her keen sense of color is reflected in this creation, paying homage to Nkrumah's legacy and his commitment to a free and united Africa.
