United Souls is an eco-responsible clothing brand with an artistic and committed approach, combining music and history.
Made from organic cotton and featuring a sleek design, United Souls celebrates some of the greatest, little-known and overlooked figures in the fight for civil rights around the world.
Beyond the duty of remembrance, United Souls also pays tribute to the major role of music in the emancipation of oppressed peoples.
To this end, the brand collaborates with artists to continually expand over the years the “struggle figures” that it circulates in the public space.
BEHIND THE BRAND, A MAN
Jacques Goba immigrated to Caen at the age of 9. He spent his entire childhood and adolescence in this Normandy city in northwest France. At 20, he returned to his African roots by spending 5 years in Ivory Coast, his home country. It was there that he realized that French-speaking Africa and France share a common heritage. The use of the same language to communicate, feel, and think creates, despite history, very strong ties between the populations of the South and the North. It is a cultural richness that deserves to be highlighted.
Through United Souls, Jacques Goba aims to unite minds around a powerful and universal message. Choosing the T-shirt as a medium, thanks to its organic, stylish, and committed design, allows the brand to be used as a powerful vector, capable of convincing and challenging citizens around the world to finally make African recognition a reality. Developed on the basis of a concrete project, United Souls aims to be a brand that, through African thought, allows for a more humanist vision of the world. This is how Jacques Goba wishes to express what he calls his "Africanness": a focus on human exchange, in the pursuit of a common ideal.
