Photographed by Aline Princet /// culinary photography, Jean Claude Barny and Claudy Siar have chosen to combine two United Souls creations with the culinary work "Goûts d'Antilles" by chef Jérôme Bertin.
With "Goûts d'Antilles," Jérôme Bertin introduces us to 60 of the best and most authentic recipes from Guadeloupe and Martinique. A unique gourmet journey illustrated by Aline Princet with eight portraits of personalities of Caribbean origin. These celebrities share their culinary memories, their favorite dishes, and the sensory images they evoke.
In this graphic, contemporary and tasty book on Caribbean cuisine, what a joy to see two media and committed personalities proudly posing with our creations.
Claudy Siar, a media star and equal rights activist, proudly wears a T-shirt featuring Martinican poet and politician Aimé Césaire, an original creation by illustrator Olivier Bonhomme. As for director Jean-Claude Barny, whose committed cinema clearly asserts his Caribbean identity, he naturally chose Frantz Fanon, the psychiatrist and philosopher of cultural de-alienation, from the United Souls collection, as the subject of his next film. A creation by portraitist Marie-Claire Laffaire.
Many thanks to Jean-Claude Barny and Claudy Siar for thinking of us. Congratulations to photographer Aline Princet for these outstanding shots. A magnificent book of Caribbean cuisine, stories, and encounters that we invite you to discover at your bookstore.
