Youssoupha x United Souls: a supreme love for unity and transmission

On January 22, 2025, on the eve of the evening dedicated to his new album Amour Suprême, we had the privilege of meeting Youssoupha at Bikini in Toulouse . This committed rapper, known for his lyricism and militant lyrics, set the stage ablaze with an intense and memorable concert, in front of a captivated Toulouse audience. In a moment of sincerity, he did not hesitate to hail this evening as one of the most memorable of the beginning of the year, designating the people of Toulouse as "probably the best audience of the year" .

Thanks to Fabrice, one of the managers of this iconic venue, who admires our artistic and humanist approach, we had the opportunity to meet Youssoupha after his concert. This special moment revealed unexpected connections: he lives in Abidjan, my hometown, our mothers share the same first name, and, like me, he has two children, a son and a daughter. Moreover, we discovered a common friendship with the grandson of Patrice Lumumba , national hero of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In tribute to this common heritage and because the year 2025 marks a historic centenary: that of the birth of Patrice Lumumba, we offered him two exclusive creations of United Souls , performed by Fred Ebami And Marie-Claire Laffaire , with the image of Patrice Lumumba. Touched by this gesture, Youssoupha welcomed our approach with these words:

"United Souls is an inspiring name. Where states often unite for destructive interests, you, through art, seek to unite souls. It is a noble and essential mission."

Supreme Love: an album and a documentary for a new impetus

At the same time, Youssoupha produced a 48-minute documentary titled Supreme Love, available for free on YouTube. This film offers a unique immersion into the last three years of his life, a journey blending silence, doubt, and reconstruction. The artist speaks without filter, revealing the behind-the-scenes of his creative process and the personal challenges he had to overcome, including his move to Abidjan.
